The Murals are almost here! This coming May the Business Improvement District (BID) will present Murals In Motion throughout downtown Lake Geneva. This inaugural event will celebrate artistry, music, and local history made for the community from May 15th to 19th, 2024. The Downtown Lake Geneva Mural Committee will complete a series of murals around its historic business district in this major tourist destination. The inaugural mural project will set the standard for future murals to complete 12 murals in 3 years and later construct a sculpture walk near the lakefront. The murals are to be painted May 15-19 as part of an artist-in-residence type of event. Spectators will watch the artist’s process and enjoy other streetside entertainment while the artists complete their projects. Artist submissions will be reviewed by the Downtown Lake Geneva Mural Committee to select the winning designs. Decisions will be made, and artists notified by February 15, 2024. The local community and businesses are invited to sponsor a mural, an artist’s stay, or a related event.
