LITTLE GEMS

The Silence of the Goats.
The goats were assembled and brought to the Hillmoor property in a heated rush.  The heat coming from the strange deep-seated love Mayor Mayor has for this particular species of Bovidiae animals (related to gazelles, bison, and even domesticated cows).  The public of Lake Geneva was ‘sold’ on donating money to pay for the fencing and upkeep of the animals.  The collection reached $8800, according to confidential sources inside the municipal bunker or building.  The goats were scrapped, or at least returned, to the service that rented them out.  Apparently, the $8800 is going to be paid to cover the expense of this failed endeavor.

Mayor Mayor is not laying down one dime.  Everyone’s happy with this resolution.  But what about the people that paid to have the goats come and stay at Hillmoor?  Their money gets used up for nothing.  The names they were allowed to give to specific goats are likely no longer remembered by the goats. The money is just gone, spent on another bad idea.  Maybe Mayor Mayor needs to be re-named by some of these rather baffled and (likely) unhappy contributors.   They laid their money down out of trust, almost like they bought into a crypto currency, and what did they getin return?  Crypto goats.
