LITTLE  GEMS

The ‘Miracle Path,’ running along the edge of Geneva Lake is back.
The Miracle Path is a one-of-a-kind stretch of lakefront along the side of the nearly picture-perfect Geneva Lake.  It was created by philanthropist and entrepreneur, Carolyn Gable. The path is meant to be a place of peace and inspiration for the residents, and for all those who visit the edge of Geneva Lake. The path is decorated and painted with inspirational quotes to help all those who may be going through challenges in life or those possibly looking for some hope to possibly be able to see some light at the end of the tunnel. In 2017, Carolyn sold her home, which was where the original Miracle Path and Bell were located.

The new owners moved in and painted over all the moving words left behind after the sale. Many people were hurt by the loss, as they had found inspiration and strength by walking along that part of the lakefront path. Now, five years later, Carolyn has brought the Miracle Path and Bell back to the Geneva Lake lakefront.  The new Expect a Miracle part of the path runs along her new property, which is located about two miles west of the Geneva Inn. New plans were quickly put into motion to bring inspiration back to where it had started and to help so many who might walk that stretch of the path. As one strolls along the shore path and comes up to that part of the ‘Miracle Path’ he or she will see a bell with the inscription ‘Ring the Bell Expect a Miracle’ written, along with a book to write in and share some thoughts.

To celebrate the grand opening of the new Miracle Path there will be a ribbon cutting on July 29th at 11 a.m., followed by a free yoga session and breathing exercise, which will be led by Carolyn herself, the creator of the Miracle Path. The following day, July 30th, at 10 a.m. there will be free yoga and more breathing work, also hosted by Carolyn herself.

The price of crude oil is twenty percent lower than it was two weeks ago, as is the cost of gasoline.
The price of gas has gone down below four dollars in many communities around the state with Lake Geneva holding tough at about $4.10.  Those prices are headed only one way, as Saudi Arabia begins producing more oil. President Joe Biden has been attacked for high gasoline prices.  Ron Johnson has used millions to illustrate that the high gas prices are the president’s fault.  Will this unprincipled senator now turn around and give the president credit for the lowering of gas prices?  Not in your, or my, life.  Politics doesn’t work that way anymore.  Johnson’s ads continue to express the lie that gas prices are still what they were a few weeks ago.  Who can blame him?  Politicians like him are no longer held to any integrity standard and, why waste the money?

So many people (most of them watching Fox or Newsmax) will see his ads and believe them even when filling up with cheaper gas at the gas station themselves.  Scientific evidence has lost most of its meaning and effect in the modern world.  Inflation percentages are also falling, and there will probably be no reflection of that, as well.  However, the elections are coming in November.
