LITTLE GEMS

Lake Geneva will be featuring a mural project called Art in Motion.
A mural by Mauricio Ramirez will be painted live in Downtown Lake Geneva from August 4th to 9th. This event is part of the Downtown Lake Geneva’s Art in Motion program. Mauricio Ramirez is known for his large-scale murals, in particular the Giannis mural in downtown Milwaukee. Ramirez’s murals are not just decorative; they aim to tell stories about the neighborhood’s past and present, reflecting the identity and aspirations of the community. He emphasizes community involvement in his projects, often holding conversations with residents to understand the stories and values of the area. Ramirez invites community participation, ensuring the murals become a reflection of the people who inhabit the space. Lake Geneva is very lucky to have such a prominent artist visit our local community and make it brighter for all.

Looking for an exciting, fun night out with family, community, and those who serve the community at The Walworth County Fair Grounds.
This year’s National Night Out is Tuesday, August 5th, from 4:30 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. National Night Out is an annual event that most municipalities around the nation participate in, but none do it quite like Walworth County. Instead of having individual events or open houses, the service departments of Walworth County decided to do it together in one location. This displays how well the service departments in Walworth County work together and the importance of bringing the community together.

At National Night Out, you get to meet the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and so many more service people who serve in a fun non non-intimidating setting. Vehicles, tools, and equipment used by the different departments will be displayed and discussed with many interactive activities. Join local law enforcement, fire departments, EMT’s, and many local organizations and businesses for this is a free family event full of activities, fun, food, and fireworks.
