LITTLE GEMS

Foxconn, that Wisconsin bilking company, is at it again.
Lordsburg, Ohio.  The Geneva Shore Report ran story after story about the fraud and outright theft of a billion dollars from the state of Wisconsin by this phony company and its republican allies.  The republicans left office and moved out of state.  So did Foxconn, to Lordsburg, Ohio.  There they settled in once again, following their defrauding of Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.  They were to produce the “Tesla of pick-up trucks,” to take advantage of the fact that the leader of Tesla fell on mental hard times and wasn’t able to deliver on his supposedly re-invention of the pick-up truck.  They glommed two hundred million dollars from Ohio and God knows yet how much from the communities this parasitic ‘malaria-like’ company sucked out of local economies where it was based.

Over three years, the company ‘earned’ revenue of $89,000.  The big question is where are they going to go next?  Which state has been selected as the new host for this parasite?  The U.S. will not pursue fraud against all the big insurers selling these Advantage or Medicare Plan C policies, nor go after the phony fruit and vegetable pill phonies blasting ads all over television, and it’s not going after Foxconn.  Why?

The entire GSR staff is simply befuddled by these financial bloodsuckers being allowed to keep on feeding off the vital blood of the entire country.

Fiddleface is coming to Flat Iron Park.
Lake Geneva Concerts in the Park is getting ready for its second week of the summer. Thursday, July 6th, from 6 p.m., until 8 p.m., this new bluegrass trio will be entertaining the crowd. This new band is not really ‘new’ to the music scene, as the three members have already performed with other popular bands and have recently performed at Summerfest in Milwaukee and in Nashville. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, mosquito repellant and your appetite because Magpie’s restaurant and bar will also be there, selected as the week’s food vendor.  Bring your mosquito repellant and possibly a blanket, as the wind off the water late in the day can make it feel like it’s below seventy in Flat Iron Park, even when it’s not.

FiddleFace, like Tommy Ocean, is a local, little celebrated but terrific musical outfit and such events as these are the ‘jewel-like’ benefits a small community can provide.  The attendance is usually about a few hundred people, which makes parking pretty close and easy and getting a good place on the grass almost assured.
