LITTLE GEMS
The 9th Annual Ribfest is here.
The Walworth County Fairgrounds is the location of so many favorite events like the Walworth County Fair, the many different flea markets, and, of course, the Elkhorn Ribfest National Competition. The event starts Wednesday, July 9th, and runs through the weekend ending on Sunday, July 13th. This festival has free admission and free parking.
You can expect good food, good music, and good times at one of Wisconsin’s largest BBQ festivals. The gates open Wednesday at 3 p.m. and close at 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, the festival opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 11 p.m. Sunday hours are 11 a.m. through 9 p.m. This event features champion BBQs and backyard grillers offering mouthwatering barbecue.
There will be great live entertainment throughout the entire festival, an artisan village, a carnival for the kids, and so much more. A tip before you head through the gates: make sure to bring your credit or debit card and cash. This year, all beer and wine purchases will be made by card. Food and shopping vendors will take cards and cash at each vendor’s discretion. Get ready for some great fun at the Walworth County Fairgrounds.
Su Wings in downtown Lake Geneva has closed.
They have moved out to Como on Club House Drive in the old Legends building. Renovations and cleaning are being done. The restaurant will be called Kelly’s and offer Chinese and American style food. The restaurant is opening soon, and more details will come as the opening time gets closer. Dragon City, located in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot on the north end of town is still here and they do a great job of producing quality food at great prices.
