LITTLE GEMS

The live-streaming camera is up and running just north of Lake Geneva’s Riviera Pier Complex inside Driehaus Family Plaza.
The live streaming started on Wednesday of last week, just in time for the holiday weekend, and was on for the fully expected and delivered days of sunshine. The live stream will run twenty- four hours a day, seven days a week. There will be a lot of quiet on the stream, as the late-night and early morning hours are pretty uneventful in that area (and the audio is also nonexistent.) It will be interesting to see what the camera catches and if people will be aware of it.

Will there be any attention-getting antics that may make it more fun to watch? The Lake Geneva police department will always have a feed to the camera in order to help reduce any vandalism, especially when it comes to the Angel that adorns the top of the Driehaus Fountain, which has been regularly vandalized every summer; causing the angel to be absent more than it is present (off for repairs.) This could be a fun thing if people respond positively to it. Either way, the visitors will be able to check-in before they come to town and get a glimpse of how crowded it is and a feel of the atmosphere.  Here is a link to the Livestream camera; http://626Geneva.com/Livestream/Riviera.htm.
