LITTLE GEMS
Children’s Museum in Lake Geneva?
Adding a Children’s Museum could be a wonderful thing for the community and visitors alike. There will be an opportunity to find out all about it. On Friday, April 4, 2025, from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. at the Riviera Ballroom, there will be an in-person event to rediscover wonder and journey into the Geneva Lake Children’s Museum dream. This is expected to be a magical experience that will reignite your sense of awe and wonder. Tickets are $100, which includes beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks during the event. There will also be food stations inspired by kids and created by professionals. This informative fundraiser is a great start to the museum’s existence right here in Lake Geneva.
It may seem like a small change, the time we mean, as the new particularly expensive part for Channel 25 has not been installed yet to make the city meetings fully and easily public.
Why not? That’s the question nobody at city hall seems to either be able to answer or wants to answer. Why are these meetings still being held without that much-needed channel, particularly in these growingly troubled times? There was discussion about making videos and streaming city meetings that were brought to the council’s attention, but nothing was done with that communication, including what it was all about. Is someone recommending that the public not make videos or stream meetings at their leisure, want, need, or desire? That might be fitting for the times as the politics of life seem to be changing at light speed these days.
