LITTLE GEMS
Spring is officially here.
Late morning on Friday, March 20th, spring began. Or at least the date for spring began, which was quickly followed, in Southern Wisconsin tradition, by a period of cold and wind. Winter is finally winding down, however, and people are getting antsy for the spring weather and all that spring brings. Saturday was the first full day of spring, and the weather was beautiful. The time between sunrise and sunset has been growing slightly longer each day.
In Wisconsin, spring is celebrated with friends and family as everyone gears up for the beginning of all the warm-weather traditions. Festival season, farmers’ markets, and so much more outdoor fun are set to begin. Spring is all about the trees budding and leaves growing, blooming flowers, a rebirth of everything, an assortment of colors, and rejuvenation.
Save the date for the Spring Wine Walk.
The Business Improvement District has set the date for May 17th. That may seem a way away, but it’s coming up fast, and tickets sell out quickly. As soon as tickets are available, the Bid will announce it, so be ready to book your spot. Participants can expect a lovely afternoon strolling and sipping their way through the downtown. Proceeds will benefit the Downtown Lake Geneva Inc. community event programming. Stay updated on ticket sales at the Downtown Lake Geneva Facebook Page.
