LITTLE GEMS

Wrigley Drive redo is set to be worked on starting next week.
Wrigley Drive in Lake Geneva is a big deal, as it follows the lake shore and the iconic Riviera. The city and businesses are preparing for the project which will hinder traffic flow and easy access to the restaurants and lakefront. All businesses on Wrigley will be open for business during the project and can be visited easily by parking on another street and walking. The project will include pavement replacement, curb and gutter repair, sidewalk replacement, storm sewer work and drainage rebuilding.

The Wrigley plan is to get the work started right away and complete the project before, or by, Memorial Day weekend. Plan an alternate route through the months of April and May as Wrigley Drive will be closed from Broad Street all the way up to where it joins Main Street and turns into Cook.

After 42 years Frank’s Piggly Wiggly, located in Elkhorn, has been sold.
Frank and Stephanie Lueptow have decided it’s time to retire and have sold their grocery stores and shopping centers in both Elkhorn and East Troy. Frank’s is well known for their great deli, butcher shop and bakery items. As of now it is expected that all employees and receipts will remain the same once the name changes. On April 25th they will be selling to Hansen’s IGA Markets (Bangor, WI) who are excited to be serving the Elkhorn, East Troy and surrounding communities.

Their dedication to customer service will remain the same and will be completely committed to being a strong, locally run independent grocer in the Elkhorn and East Troy area. Transition details are still being determined and an official opening date will be announced later. A grand opening event will be announced in the coming weeks.
