LITTLE GEMS
Gage Marine and the City of Lake Geneva have a common cause.
They both benefit and thrive because of the amazing beauty and pristine clarity of Geneva Lake. Gage Marine has multiple leases and contracts with the city to occupy piers and parking. The Riviera Piers are utilized and maintained primarily by Gage Marine. The storm last month caused a lot of damage to the piers that still need repairs to be completed. One of the reasons so much damage occurred, and does every time there is a storm that produces damaging winds and waves, is due to the fact that the piers need to be raised by about twelve to sixteen inches. Bill Gage personally suggested that the city take care of both storm repairs and the raising of the piers simultaneously, thereby likely saving the city almost seventy percent of the cost of raising the piers alone, later down the road as a separate project.
