LITTLE GEMS

New Places Downtown Lake Geneva
The  Geneva Tap House on Broad Street.
The Guac Star, the taco joint, is also on Broad Street.
Space, the women’s athletic-wear shop next to the Bottle Shop across from the Geneva Lake Museum.
A new coffee shop is coming in the fall at the House (first floor), the whole complex formerly known as Brick and Mortar on Cook Street.
Brick and Mortar is also building a prefab structure off-site, a building completed offsite that will be plunked down on Center Street, right across from where Starbucks is currently located and right next to the other Brick and Mortar store.  That building will have vacation rentals upstairs and then retail business space downstairs.

‘Concerts in the Park’ is back.
The concerts are set to begin being performed on Thursday, June 30th, and continue every Thursday until August 11th. Concerts will be in Lake Geneva’s Flat Iron Park from 6 p.m. through 8 p.m. The full concert schedule is set and can be found online; visitlakegeneva.com/events/concerts-park/bands/. This series has a wonderful tradition that has been a part of Lake Geneva summers for many years. Each concert has its own unique music scheduled; all the performances are of great classics. Kick back on a summer evening and enjoy the music, and a beautiful lake view, along with family and friends.  Bring some mosquito repellant, as the season where those little pesky beasts will be out is almost upon us.

The annual click it or ticket campaign is underway. The campaign started on Monday, May 223rd, and runs until June 5th. A friendly reminder for those who aren’t consistent with wearing seat belts this time officers will be paying more attention and pulling over those who are not strapped in. Yes, it seems petty, and the ticket is small, but it’s a safety thing and a habit worth having. It could save your life.
