More scams to be wary of.
The GSR investigated dating sites to find that most of the people encouraging others to spend money to write to them, and most of the beautiful women supposedly available were fake; all models are part of a vast array of scammer entities actually owning those sites.  Online dating is a disaster and potentially both financially and emotionally draining.

Now comes the author business.  Sham businesses offering to explode the popularity of an author’s works are targeting everyone who has work on Amazon or at Barnes and Noble.  They are offering thousands of dollars in ‘honorariums’ to build the author’s works to tens of thousands of readers.  Reviews of the work are glowing, and the authors who’ve for the most part been majorly ignored are blossoming at the wondrous and generous critiques.  Until the author gets to the tenth sales pitch, only to find the critiques are all very similar.  A.I. critiques.

Ninety-nine percent of an author reaching success today is not in the quality or extent of his or her work.  It’s in the ability and finances of the author to get the work in front of people.  Facebook was the first online entity to pull the rug out from under anyone trying to reach a lot of people.  They call it ‘boosting’ an article or comment.

For so much money, Facebook will put it in front of hundreds or thousands of Facebook members.  The problem?  There’s no way to check to see if Facebook ever does that except to read their own published results of ‘views’ and so on.  And they lie, of course.  The same is true of the phony publishing operations.  Beware, the works are a series of snake pits, and if you are not a predator viper, then you are prey.  Don’t get bitten.
