Free Parking starts soon, which means winter parking regulations also begin.
From November 15th through January 31 it costs nothing to park in Lake Geneva. Locals look forward to this time as the city slows down a bit and the people who call this area home get to enjoy themselves without paying for parking. This also means winter parking regulations have begun. From November 15th through March 31st, vehicles may not park on any city street between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. There is also no parking allowed all year from 3 a.m. through 6 a.m. downtown. When the snow decides to fall, there is no street parking until the snow is removed. Violators of these rules may be ticketed.

There’s a guy…Nameless, not to be named.
Hyper-secret for no reason anyone can explain.  He wants to donate five million ($5,000,000) to Hillmoor.  No strings or attachments or demands, except for one.  He wants the naming rights to change the name of Hillmoor, probably to his own secret name, if history is any indicator of such things.  What are the city leaders going to do, other than not revealing his name?  Which we will find out anyway.  Who knows with Lake Geneva, where it’s almost impossible to see or predict what’s going to happen next.  Interesting for a newspaper but vexing for regular people, we are certain. We will share more as this develops.

The Peller property development.  Where is it to be?  If you drive up the road like you’re going to Grand Geneva from Highway 50, then, as you make the turn through the gate to go up the hill, where to your right all the Christmas decorations will go up, to your left you’ll be looking at the Peller property all the way up the hill, then make the sharp left turn at the top, and the acreage to your left will be the top of it until you get to the next right turn.  The plan for development has not been released yet, but the property has been sold, and a developer wants to put hundreds of residences of one kind or another there.  We are keeping a very close eye on that situation.
