LIVING HERE
Artificial Intelligence.
It’s coming and it’s coming as a new form of originality and truth. It’s neither of those things.
We, as humans using the Internet, the first nearly universal feedback database of all time, have put our hearts, minds, imaginations, and data online in all sorts of ways, from social media, to blogs, emails and so much more. It’s all out there. These software thieves are taking all of this collected data and forming it into narrowed avenues of artificial reasoning and pre-conditioned response. Human written creativity is being stolen to fund these programs which will be sold as better and more creative than the humans who wrote the original stuff. These A.I. computer creatures will not tell the truth because they won’t know the truth, just what they’ve collected about what countless humans have written about it.
What of the distant future? When all human creativity is either disregarded or unrewarded? The robots will have no life experience or imaginative results from real humans and will have none of their own…and things will die. We can only hope we don’t die before these ‘creatures’ are exterminated.
The new vast development attempting to be built close to the south edge of Walworth is mired in controversy.
Four hundred homes are a big number for such a small town. The town only has 2500 residents, or so. Four hundred new single-family homes will add at least 1200 additional resident, thereby almost doubling the current population. There may be more tax revenue from this development, but the cost to schools, sewer and electrical hookups and infrastructure are great, as well, not to mention the wear and tear on roads and everything else.
The tiny but very cute and clean Lake Pettit will be swallowed whole by this development. Also, the home sizes and lot sizes remind the writers of the Geneva Shore Report of the ‘little boxes’ look of the Symphony Bay residences. There’s trouble coming as the people of Walworth appeared pretty angry at the last town meeting. The GSR will keep a close eye on this looming development.
