LIVING HERE
The last month or so has been spent rushing around and making plans, all for this coming day of Christmas.
The Christmas holiday is less than a week away but for many, it is more than just a day. Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, the son of God, and the significant role his birth plays in the Gospel. The name “Christmas” comes from the Mass of Christ, a service where Christians remember Jesus’s death and resurrection. Christmas is a religious holiday but has become more secular and commercialized, focusing more on gift-giving and celebration. However, as you celebrate this wonderful time of year, the feelings of hope, love, and joy are hopefully surrounding you and your friends, and family. Merry Christmas from the GSR family to yours.
Best Bargains is now open!
This unique grocery store is located at 3 East Geneva Street in Elkhorn at the old Pharmacy Station. There is also a Best Bargains Wholesale Food in Burlington and New Munster and those who know the place are very excited to have another location. This is a great place for restaurant owners and the average shopper to snatch up some great deals. The discounted prices are a great way to get more and stretch your dollar. Restaurant owners love this place as it carries bulk and restaurant-quality foods at a great price.
The Best Bargains, Elkhorn location just opened about a week ago and is still working on some kinks if there is something you don’t see and need just let the staff know, as it is still working on fully stocking its shelves. Best Bargains is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on weekends. As of right now credit, debit, and cash are excepted. It is working with the State to get EBT set up soon and is getting gift cards ready for purchase, hopefully in time for Christmas gift-giving. Stop in and explore the store and enjoy the savings.
