Drivers traveling through Walworth County should expect daytime delays this week as construction forces temporary ramp closures along Interstate 43 near State Highway 67.
According to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, the northbound I-43 exit ramp to STH-67 is closed Monday through Thursday, ending Thursday, January 8, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. The closure is part of a scheduled construction project in the area. Officials say drivers will need to follow posted detours while crews work, and traffic backups are possible during peak midday travel times. Motorists are urged to plan extra time and consider alternate routes if traveling through the area.

A second closure is already scheduled for next week. The southbound I-43 exit ramp to STH-67 will close Monday, January 12, through Thursday, January 15, also from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, according to the sheriff’s office. Law enforcement officials remind drivers to slow down in work zones, obey signage, and remain alert for construction crews and equipment.
