Associated Bank in Lake Geneva steps in.
Thursday, May 29th, you’re invited to a special event at Inspired Coffee along with Associated Bank. Inspired Coffee’s mission to provide opportunities for people living with disabilities to achieve a fulfilling life is truly inspiring. On May 29th, Team Associated Bank will treat the first 50 guests at their table to learn more about the Incredible mission of Inspired Coffee to a free cup of coffee. Join them to support this meaningful cause and discover how we can make a difference together! The event starts at 9 a.m.  Think about opening a new or additional account with this bank.  Sheri Ames has a wonderful relative working there, so just use her name liberally.  She will kill us for writing that, of course.

It’s not you.
You keep changing stations all the time while driving to hear some decent music.  You can’t find any at all.  Musical trash of the cheapest order, as the stations will not pay for the good stuff.  And then there’s the constant never never-ending ads and the smarmy voices, most talking about themselves ad infinitum on into horrid boredom.  It’s not you.  Even the local station will not play good music.  It’s almost humorous, like watching Sunday Morning on CBS.  The families and relatives of the producers come on as rock groups. They are terribly dressed, play their instruments badly, and can’t sing a lick.  It’s so bad, it’s funny as hell.   Try it out, although you can always change the channel from that.  Hard in your car, except for the ability to go to a disc or MP3 instead.

Memorial Day police chase.
Late Monday afternoon, the City of Lake Geneva Police Department responded to a call about shots fired on Elkhorn Road and Street. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male of unknown age, wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and a baseball cap. He was last seen fleeing on foot southbound from that area. Residents in the area were asked to lock their doors and retreat to the basement if in the immediate vicinity. The suspect was located in a residence on Center Street and is in custody.
