Even with the Walworth County Fair and Ribfest being canceled people are still getting a taste of the fair, one event at a time, as things are being done a little differently this year.
The annual meat sale is being held (virtually) Wednesday, September 2nd, starting at 6 p.m., through Friday, September 4th, ending at 10 a.m. In order to participate in the bidding people must go to https://www.sconlinesales.com and register to bid, and the sale order will be beef, sheep, and swine.
Following the meat sale will be the fur and feather sale from Friday, September 4th, and closing Tuesday, September 8th. This will include the sale of poultry, rabbits, and goats.
A favorite fair event of many is the Truck and Tractor Pulls which will be back Sunday, September 6th, but tickets are limited and can be purchased online. All proceeds will benefit the Walworth County Fairgrounds. Following the truck and tractor pulls Sunday night will be an All-American Labor Day celebration with live music at the park stage. There will also be food and drinks available for purchase.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets as seating will be limited. Even without the big events at the fairgrounds this year the community is still able to enjoy the smaller activities.
