Amazon, Wal Mart and more…
These huge companies, one and all, who have come to specialize in delivering goods to customers locally, as well as by mail and other delivery methods, have begun changing what they are into what they want to be.   They want to be places that collect money, do as little as possible to be involved with the storing and delivery process, and then bail out to go their way in the end.

What are they doing that caught the GSR’s attention, lately?  They are beginning to deny responsibility for anything.  They deliver the wrong product, or no product at all?  They claim that the customer must deal with the manufacturer or seller of the product.  Notice that?  Neither Wal Mart nor Amazon want to be known as sellers or manufacturers of products, not when it comes to damage, returns or any of that stuff.

We recently had an experience in that area, but didn’t recognize it as what it was until complaints from others in other areas came in.  We ordered two bags of Lion coffee from Amazon.  Lion coffee is produced in Hawaii.  By purchasing from Amazon, the GSR saved ten dollars in shipping costs.  The two bags arrived.  It took less than a day for the GSR to have to remove those two paper bags of coffee grounds from the office and place them out on the patio.

Why was that done?  Because the smell of the coffee was that bad.  Whatever the un-brewable mess is in those bags is anything but Lion coffee from Hawaii.  Some awful grounds from somewhere in the world.  Un-brewable, and certainly undrinkable.

We complained to Amazon directly.  We were, and continue to be, told that we must complain to the seller and manufacturer.  Amazon gave us the name of that company.  Living Pleasure is the name of that company.  No number, address, or email.  Look it up.  We did. Nothing on the Internet.  We called Amazon back.  They told us that they are no longer covering losses generated by ‘marketing’ the products of others.  Wal Mart is now going the same way.  Read your receipt.  We recently did.  No returns to other than the manufacturer directly is clearly printed there.

Nice.  The X-Files investigator of the GSR are checking into Target and Kohls, as well as Fleet Farm and more.
