Looking on the Bright Side

Nobody’s talking yet about the simple fact that Kupsic’s successful run to become mayor leaves an open alderperson position open.
The position will be filled by appointment. The mayor, Kupsic, will nominate and the council will confirm someone to serve in Kupsic’s former position. Who is that person going to be? This coming choice could give the entire body of Lake Geneva’s citizenry quite a clear idea of what this new regime of leadership is going to mean for the future of everyone living or visiting around Geneva Lake. Interesting times!

WE Energy.
That lovely little gas company “serving” all of the Geneva Lake Area with monopolistic control. The little gas company that sure emits a lot of gas to your credit reporting agencies if you are as little as a week late in paying your bill. That little gas company. Now what? What do monopolies do? Keep things ever more exclusive, of course. The new rules for voting on board members were changed this year to allow only people owning more than 3% of the stock to vote. We Energies stock is at $60.00 or so this day. Only those owning three million dollars $3,000,000) or more worth of this stock get to vote. Is there any wonder that Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump are being so successful?

Elkhorn High School

What the hell happened at Elkhorn High School? Another negative national story about life in Southern Wisconsin is what happened. A bunch of lily white students from lily white Elkhorn High School went to a soccer game in Beloit and basically destroyed the young players of the mostly not white opposing team by chanting slogans like: “Donald Trump build the wall. Have Elkhorn High School kids lost decent teachers and have all the parents there gone down on drugs or are they simply all on sabbatical or vacation. Disgraceful, to say the least.
Wisconsin can do better and maybe it should do better by finding new management for that high school.
