 REASON TO BELIEVE

“If I listened long enough to you, I’d find a reason to believe it’s all true.”

Those are the lyrics from a brilliantly written song by Rod Stewart, and those lyrics have significance to all of us living our lives in the ‘real’ world.

We make our way through the mundane chores, one after another, that we have come to know, as part of the active part of our life.  Our chores include our job or career (if the job is a good paying one), finding food and cooking it, making our shelter safe and viable, transporting ourselves around with all the complexity of that, and finally our social interactions, from those of family, friends and more.  While we go our way through every day and night we are bombarded by voices and images seeking to impose an artifice of reality over reality itself.  This relatively new phenomenon is one so fresh that our genetic code has no protection built in to guard us from harm.  We have been on the planet, very slowly evolving, for some three million years or more, but the species has never encountered this kind of new guiding influence which can spell great success for the transmission of our genetic material or can kill us in a geologic instant.

We all are being given a reason to believe, and in believing we are becoming part of a pre-conceived package intended to support the success strategies of others unseen, unknown and deliberately kept from our knowledge.  Who owns and manipulates FOX, NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, the ‘streaming show,’ and many of the other channels we watch?  Think General Electric Corporation, for one. Yes, the company that builds much of our national defense equipment.  FOX is owned by the Murdoch family and has recently admitted that it doesn’t believe in the stuff it has been broadcasting for years to get the rest of us to believe.

We all are being given a reason to believe, and we are currently failing as civilized cultures due to the simple fact that we cannot adjust our input systems fast enough to defend against this cold financially driven assault.  Something too new, too overwhelming, and too graphically ‘real’ happened because of technological advances none of us could predict. Consequently, very few humans are positioning themselves to be the only determiners of all of our success and/or failure.  To our chore list has been added something we do not discuss and never appears on any of these corporate owned delivery systems.  We have been given the chore of performing constant silent genuflection most of us are not even aware of.  We are presented with something, such as a fragrant and audacious news story, and we are basically fed the ‘facts’ about it that lead us to a conclusion arrived at by others well before hand.  We are given a reason to believe, and we do so, in genuflection to the unseen powers that give those ‘facts’ with a significant depth of belief-giving power because we have no other avenues to receive anything else through.

Our hope for understanding the present, and therefore being able to accommodate ourselves into the future, must be based upon a rigorous search among alternate communication systems, such as from our own travel and accumulation of ‘hands-on’ life experience or carefully exploring what’s offered on the overwhelming stream of never-ending data on the Internet. We must first recognize, then understand, and finally, take action in building our own core belief system instead of accepting the ones being delivered to us by all the already owned sources of mass media.  We must all fight hard against accepting the presentation of other beliefs. We must go to work to hold everything that comes to us in reserve, while we verify, think about, and consult with others who’ve gained our trust.

Google, Facebook, Twitter, all of television, radio talk shows and more, must be put into a perspective that includes holding incoming data at arms-length, no matter how appealing the form of its presentation.  Never forget the revelations these near parasitic forms of mass media have also helped the understanding of just how damaged the hyper-wealthy and powerful most in that position are. Bezos, Soros, Gates, Zuckerberg, Musk and so many more of the billionaires have proven themselves unworthy to be trustees of our beliefs.  Take that data and hold it dear.  You are the only hope advancing civilization has.

Trust in YOU.
