INTO THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH
There are several social and cultural conditioning developments occurring since the last presidential election results were announced. The first of those is the empowerment displayed by many of those who feel that their candidate, an outside populist candidate not seen of such power since the Second World War, has triumphed and they with that candidate. That empowerment is currently leading to what might best be termed as ‘empowerment displays’ and is coming in the form of verbalizations of self-congratulations and attacks on those who opposed that candidate. It is witnessed in pickup truck drivers racing faster, louder, and more offensive on highways and roads. It is seen in coffee shops and other stores where election results might be discussed and the ‘losers’ derided for being either communists or other derogatory names.
This empowerment display is dangerous, and vitally dangerous throughout the extent of the culture’s influence. It is particularly dangerous when considering the other major societal effect of that election’s loss. The election result is the single most monstrous event in all of American history and compares with some as fully monstrous as Stalin’s, Hitler’s, and even Mao’s taking over countries. It has created a movement in more than fifty percent of the population that can be described as nothing more or less than terminal grief. The depth of depression felt by those who were on the losing side of this election has never been seen before in America, comparable only to that which occurred before and during the U.S. Civil War. The combination of grief, depression, and naked fear is clear and palpable as one goes out and experiences much of the public across the nation. The ‘grief display’ participants have other very determinant things going on in their physical and psychological conditions.
They are losing weight. Fear and anxiety cause weight loss, partially because of the production of certain enzymes wherein the grief display person unknowingly prepares for combat. The even deeper genetically driven psychological effect of the loss of appetite is derived from the body’s imprinted knowledge that entering combat is more survivable on an empty stomach and most certainly empty intestines. Torso wounds are much more survivable if there is any penetration to the intestinal tract. None of this information is known to the general public and not known to the people suffering there relatively obscure conditions and symptoms.
What this brief analysis should tell anyone reading it, and hopefully, serve as. The primer for avoiding violence is that the empowerment displays people are inducting a potential reaction they have no idea is there. They are the victors, and they get to celebrate, except the culture is not a game and the win and lose scores are measured in dead and disabled bodies instead of points. The ‘game’ is not over, and everyone goes home, either happy or sad. No, from this current and coming explosive situation, there will only be the living and the dead. The United States is the most civilly armed force on earth, its weaponry so extensive that if considered a military force all on its own it would be the second most armed force in the world. Thus, the empowerment displays that people are unknowingly setting themselves up as potential targets they have no idea about. On the other side, the grief displays that people are equally at risk from a society that has only draconian life-killing punishments for those who take other people’s lives, almost without any consideration of how much someone might deserve to be killed.
The Valley of the Shadow of Death comes from a Tennyson poem about the horse unit charge of the Sixth Brigade as it rode into ever-lasting history and death. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death is excerpted from the 23rd Psalm of the New Testament. The first reference is about everyone involved except a few witnesses dying. The second reference is about the same valley but everyone being counseled and moderated by statements of comfort, leadership, anointing, and much more. The New Testament of the Bible is the course that must be followed if the culture everyone in the United States has grown up in and through to be accustomed to will survive. Facing one another and killing is no solution when the population is so evenly split. A calming accommodation must be made to prevent the violence that may surely be coming if some kind of moderate thinking isn’t applied. This is not the New Testament of today’s evangelical movement which is composed mostly of preachers acting like dictators and espousing the word of God through them. God does not talk, however, not that humans have ever been able to prove. God moves or acts and everyone who believes in Him sees such movement and action from time to time. Religion is not the answer nor the savior. The document of the New Testament is.
This article is written to inform those who of the empowerment display side that they are risking themselves needlessly but engaging in such displays. It is also to inform those who are suffering from anxiety, grief, and fear on the other side that their physical changes are real and part of how humans prepare to survive difficult circumstances. You are not sick in the traditional sense of the word. You are very much sick of your expectations about what you are currently holding and held before is about to change rather seriously and even violently.
The displays by the ‘winners’ of this last election need to stop celebrating and making obnoxious displays towards the ‘losers’ of the election. Those displays react to those grief displays people thinking, literally, about how to kill them. Yes, this is that serious and history is rife with examples of just how situations that the United States has, almost out of nowhere, risen to face must be recognized historically for how they played out over time. Pick up a bible and read the New Testament. It’s all about forgiveness, accommodation, and quiet opposition to the presence of evil. There is evil spreading across the USA and while it must be opposed, it must also be accommodated and forgiven, or we are all doomed to repeat the histories of those old and even recent catastrophic failures of epic proportions.
