TRUST

Biden and Harris bear the combined title of the Persons of the Year, as conferred upon them by Time Magazine. Trump must be mad as hell. They do not have a Demon of the Year award, which is a damned shame, as he would be assured of getting that one. What if the two senator seats under question in January (Georgia) go to the democrats? Just how pissed off and upset do you think Trump and his supporters would be to have to watch Kamala sit over every U.S. Senate session and break all tie votes, which would likely be all votes in this polarized environment? Man, oh man, do I want to see that happen. Oh, not especially for the decisions, but for the effect, as the supporters of Trump have also basally disturbed the very nature of my own soul. How is it possible that only four years ago I could never have found it possible to utterly dislike almost a hundred million people? I also fear them. Not from a physical violence standpoint. I fear them because of what they have revealed about themselves. I cannot trust them to get it. I can’t trust them to understand when they say they understand. I can’t trust them to study, to read, to comprehend almost anything I might find important. How are we to proceed forward with this new heavy body of sociological truth?

Will there be studies of this in educational institutions across the land? Doubtful. You see, the nation not only needs trust badly to continue to build what we call civilization, which revels in fear. We have such great fear about everything while we are constantly busy letting everyone know we are not afraid. We are afraid of the virus, the vaccine, Trump, socialism, financial ruin, hunger, and so much more. Never forget that a few years ago guys in pick-up trucks used to put a sticker on their back windows that said, “No fear.” They did that until so many other people pointed out that that sticker sent just the reverse message, no matter that the sticker also was touted by a clothing brand. So, to those guys dumped the ‘no fear’ stickers and swung fake testicles from the back hitches of their trucks. What’s the reverse message in doing that?

Are you aware that the interrelated and very complex relationships of all 196 countries (plus the Holy See and Palestine, not considered to be ‘real’ countries) are founded upon trust? The U.S. has played a huge role in building and then maintaining, that trust over the years. What trust you might ask? How about money. The dollar is the premier currency of the world and everything is indexed against it for value. The dollar is not backed by gold or anything else. It’s backed by trust alone. Trust that the U.S. will continue and that the U.S. will be honorable.

How about the military? The U.S. military is the largest in the world. So powerful that all other 196 countries combined do not equal it. The world’s countries trust that the U.S. will not become an empire and take them all over or abuse or destroy them. What has happened to this trust with respect to the last four years of Trump? It’s battered and eroded away. The U.S. has not kept its word in agreements or contracts. The U.S. has waved its hugely powerful sword around without any intelligence or comprehension behind it. The grandest piece of news, throughout all those countries this very day, is all about Biden winning, and the return of the American sense of honor, truth, and trust. Yes, trust is on the return. The Christmas present to the nation is this gift of trust that God, Himself must have dictated because it looked for a while awhile like demonic forces were winning while the whole world was losing. Thank you, God, and God bless all those Americans who have stood for truth, justice, and the American way.

Superman does not exist but the comic book writers’ minds of long ago, who created him and his philosophy, were truly guided by a divine hand…and that hand still touches us all.

Merry Christmas to one and all.
