THE BELL-SHAPED CURVE

The “bell shaped curve” refers to a graphical representation of a normal distribution, where data is clustered around a central point with values tapering off symmetrically on either side, creating a curve that resembles the shape of a bell; it is also known as a Gaussian distribution or normal probability distribution.  The use of this form of social measurement statistic is important and when applied to intellectual capability, sometime referred to as an I.Q. or intelligence quotient (the results across the land of elementary school children taking the same standardized test called the Benet).  This collection of data is laid out back and forth across the base and symmetric rise and fall of the mean (close to being the average), but instead of the author’s use of the results of the Benet test results to determine intellect the author of this article is using some statistics gained from the observation and results of those supporting the two diverse opinion groups whose voting changed the United States forever as the country it currently is but soon will be what it once was. The curve discussed herein is symmetrical, meaning the highest point (representing the mean) is directly in the middle with an equal distribution of values on either side. The peak of the curve indicates the most frequent value (mean, median, and mode) in the data set. The “width” of the bell curve is determined by the standard deviation, which shows how spread out the data is. Bell-shaped curves are used in various fields to analyze data and understand the distribution of traits within a population, such as intelligence levels, height, or test scores.

What does this graphical presentation of research statistical results have to do with the last election?  It exhibits the results of a test that was never intended or understood to be a test at all.  But the results are graphic in display and amazingly follow in layout almost exactly the results determined by the use of the results of the childhood administered Benet tests.  The results from the election cannot be defined as analytically as the Benet scores can, nor attributed back to the asking of a list of questions and calculating the percentage of those answered correctly or wrongly or not at all.  The Benet is also a timed test, and the election ‘exam’ is not.  There is a caveat, as there is with the results of the Benet, and that is the ability to know, process, and then use the language the test material is written in.  The political results are similar but there’s no written portion to examine.  The results can only be measured (and loosely and informally for fear of being harmed) by witness, observation, and conclusions.

Because of the invention and cultivation of the news on television, the creation and ensuing social media platforms that have come to ‘own’ the Internet, the invention of the cell phone, integrating telephonic communication with the Internet and television (called smartphones today), messages of material have been delivered to the public in massive and constant amounts by platforms owned by the wealthy owners of only seven major media concerns.  Those media concerns have crafted a message that is almost stupefying in its deliberately applied ignorance.  Things like the American economy being terrible, the country having degraded defenses, crime constantly on the rise, and the ‘communism’ attributed to all democrats have been blared out and embedded into a great portion of the American public.  Not all have believed this phony set of advertised beliefs, but many have and the election is a direct result of that. Those who came to believe that message took part in the single largest I.Q. test ever known to man or woman.

The results of that test are now in.  The standard deviations on either side of the mean or the very top of the bell (occupied in this analogous account) might be called the “Undecideds,” while both ends of the descending curves are truly in opposition to the political party’s belief descriptions.  The left side of the Bell-Shaped Curve is occupied by those who could not take in the great fabrications presented to them and also cannot let go of those beliefs no matter what proof in opposition is supplied. By and large, those are called conservatives, not those of old but the new ones. Video, television, scholastic, and even ‘in your face’ proofs cannot shake those beliefs loose.  The other side of the descending curve are progressives, liberals, or what are called today’s democrats.

The left side of the curve, encompassing about forty percent of the population, does not know it failed the grandest I.Q. test ever taken and remains unaware that such results might be considered as they are being considered by so many in educational institutions and more.  They do not have the mental capacity to know they were taken in and their only response is not to battle back with facts but to demonstrate an anger that can go all the way to nuclear very easily.  Those on the right know.  They are also afraid of knowing and mostly silent about it.  This op/ed may be the only place across the land where these results will be discussed in any way.  The potential for violence is absolutely huge, although that fact is not discussed much either. There are many examples of populations making truly damaged decisions by following those on the left of that mean like the German public going along with the assassination of the Jews in the holocaust. That was a population approval situation, not a decision made by a few and resisted by the rest.  The Jim Jones cult sprang up to huge success across America only to end in a South American jungle with everybody dead (almost a thousand with over 200 being children), believing to the end, drinking the poisoned Kool-Aid, that their leader was to be believed.

America did not fail the test as there is no pass or fail, but the results of the left side of the Bell-Shaped Curve being allowed such power, are going to have an impact like no other since the creation of the country. The survival of the United States as all those living have come to know it, is over.  The new United States will be born in almost all of our lifetimes. What that country will be like is truly almost anybody’s guess, no matter what side of the mean one might be on, but that result will come about because of a very simple axiom of the psychological, anthropologic, psychiatric, and sociological world: “dumb people don’t know they are dumb and cannot be made to believe so.”

This coming period must be survived and lived through until such time as higher intellect is once more called upon to rebuild everything…once again.
