QAnon

QAnon is an often disproven and commonly discredited far-right conspiracy theory alleging that a secret cabal of Satan-worshipping, cannibalistic pedophiles is running a global child sex-trafficking ring (many QAnon’ers believe they are all lizard people disguised as humans) and plotting against former U.S. President Donald Trump, who has been fighting that cabal.  U.S. prosecutors have called QAnon “a group commonly referred to as a cult”.

If you are reading this in disbelief, please do a simple Google search although it’s a deep, deep rabbit hole of crazy theories with numerology as its proof for all this being real.   Is QAnon finally dead? Will Parler go back, under a different spelling, to being a part of its home or a game? The extreme right-wing, way out there on the right, is dying a slow painful death. It’s not because of the democrats winning across the board. No, it’s because of time and the revelations of time. They made a key mistake when they predicted something solid and put a date on it. The Hillary idiocy about the satanic cabal was a successful cult theory because it was not provable either way. Even the JFK Jr. nonsense that he is still alive but in hiding was fine because he could never be made to appear or not appear. Making predictions about dead people being alive is another key cult predictor because the body would have to be exhumed to prove the person was dead and that almost never happens.

Nope, the key mistake of this far-right movement in predicting with its version of certainty that Trump would somehow stay on as the country’s leader and that takeover of America would occur just before, during, or right after the inauguration of Joe Biden. And it didn’t happen. Not even a whiff of a takeover took place. No protesters, even. Nowhere, nada, not there notwithstanding the rioters of January 6th. The great bloviating and washed up ‘whatever he was’ is down in Florida remaining silent, watching the cartoon channel, while getting the news by reading the print from Popsicle sticks. The far, far and the vapidly stupid right-wing has no leader, so it spins slowly and endlessly, like a broken gas dryer, the gas pressure falling ever so slightly every day until there’s no more movement, no more devilish heat to be generated. The nation is beginning to heal, and the healing can be seen, heard, and felt everywhere. The ‘here comes the sun’ feelings are not being shared by the informal members and followers of QAnon, however.  They are regrouping, after having been tossed out of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Snapchat, and God alone knows how many other sites.  The smaller shrill ‘voice’ of these conspiracy nuts has done what other ‘end of the world’ scenario predictors have successfully done.  They’ve picked a new date.  Now Trump will be inaugurated on March fourth of 2021.

They’ve done their usual kind of idiotic research to conclude that March fourth is the legal inauguration date, because that was what it was when the country started (changed under FDR) and that the law of 1871 will be used to prove that the country itself has been illegal since that date (somehow that law turned the country secretly into a corporation instead of a country.  And they’ve also thrown coming off the gold standard into their cesspool of group mind-meld. On March 5th we can all look forward to a new date.  Of course, doom predicting eventually leads to a total loss of credibility, and therefore readership and viewership, over time.  They can only change the date a few times.  The members are not smart enough to follow the writers of some of the Bible when Revelations was written.  Wisely, the writers did not put a date for the end of the world and the return of Jesus Christ anywhere in their work.  Smart.  QAnon may well disappear all on its own.  When it does it needs to be buried deep, its corpse shot many times with silver bullets and a wooden stake was driven through the tininess of its cold shrunken heart.

There is definitely a place in the American culture for screwy fat-out ideas and expressed beliefs. It is only when those things begin to cause violent actions or reactions must controls be applied and applied fast and hard.
