THE UNITED STATES OF PERDITION
Some religions view and teach that after living life on planet Earth, some beings deserve to go on to spend a long time in hell, misery, and ongoing series of nightmare after dead nightmare. The perditions definition used in this article is less permanent and goes along more with that of a thesaurus rather than a dictionary in that it pertains to a state of long-suffering while still being alive, or maybe more accurately merely ruination.
Recently, the Geneva Shore Report featured an op/ed that described those things that the current leadership might say but not do in real life. Well, real life is making itself readily apparent as a direct presidential order challenge has been made to one of those things. Birthright citizens, guaranteed by the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution are now supposedly suspended…although that will be only if the United States Supreme Court allows for this egregious violation of policy and well-established law. The second of his first fifty orders allows for the creation of ‘personhood’ being assigned to every human result of conception, at the point of conception. Abortions will then be treated the same as committing first-degree murder. This too must pass the SCOTUS approval, although this rather ‘drumhead’ tribunal is the same one that granted this new leadership immunity from most of these and other egregious acts.
The immigrants, illegals, migrants, and more, all of the basic brown in color, not to be alienated for that reason of course, are being ‘rounded up,’ another of those things that supporters of this leader said he would talk about but not really do, and getting ready to be put into pens to be shipped to places where most of them have no one and nothing. What happens to them is not about them, according to a decent measure of the population, decent in number not in character. Many quite legal immigrants are not going out to work simply because they are afraid that they may be gathered in and not be able to substantiate their status or citizenship without lengthy delays that might imperil their spouses and families.
In California, as a great Trump supporter came up short in conversation last week as the nation’s new leader laid out how he was going to come down hard on anybody who has the vaguest problem with immigration work status, birthright, and citizenship…if they are from south of the border. Bob was fully in favor of that policy until he was asked about his son-in-law who’s purported to be a naturalized citizen and therefore, so far, exempt from being locked up or kicked out of the country. The question to Bob was first: “How do you know your son-in-law is naturalized?” Bob had no concrete answer to that, instead replying that his son-in-law said so. The next question backed Bob into a serious corner. “What about his daughter, your granddaughter?? Is it not possible that your granddaughter, being birthright born, might be booted out of the country if the birthright issue is badly resolved to allow declaring such people non-citizens? Bob went off to investigate, probably leaving his red MAGA hat behind.
The mayor of Lake Geneva was asked by a citizen if his new Hillmoor commissioners were all U.S. citizens. The mayor was taken aback, as he not only didn’t know but had never thought about it. “This will come back on you if one or more of them is not,” he was told, causing the mayor to indicate that he would call the chief of police to check the backgrounds. Things are not going well for either the left, the right, the middle, or simply the patriots right now across this country as every one of those groups becomes more and more at risk while this new leader cruises on, leaving an ever-growing tattered mess as he moves through the country and life.
Other comments that this new leader made, have so far fallen well under the ‘he said it but will never do it’ umbrella and not reach more public consumption or overt action. Questions like whether the U.S. might take Canada by force of military action if it does not like the idea of becoming the 51st state. Like whether Panama should be taken back to regain control of the canal. Whether Greenland should be annexed against its will, also to the point of military action.
Right now, those decisions aside, the man is doing exactly what he said he was going to do and it is to the country’s best health and future survival to pay attention very closely to the language and the delivery of it that he is using and also set aside the idea that if what he says is too outlandish that the action to follow can be, in fact, also that outlandish.
