THE NEW NEXUS OF POWER
The new nexus of power is the old one, all over again. It’s called monopoly, with plenty of lying explanations. Today, the world where truthfulness is no longer required of almost anyone on television broadcasting or the Internet, the monopolies run in lying disguise. The gasoline suppliers, oil producers, meat packers, trucking companies and shipping operations (land, air, and sea) are all conspiring to deliver a bitter package of price gouging, and brutal profit and they are doing this while delivering and supporting a big lie. That lie is a public relations exercise intended to blame all the causes of this financial suffering of inflation, huge gas price increases, airline ticket costs, and food supplies are the fault of the public: “The public was paid a lot of money during the pandemic in stimulus payments. The public took that money and saved it until earlier in 2022. Then the public started spending the money like drunken Indians and ‘demand’ skyrocketed and prices of everything automatically have gone up because that is the way capitalism works.”
Well, that’s all a bunch of Malarkey. What happened was that all these monopolized entities were finally able to get together and drive the prices of damned near everything sky high and then pocket that money. They did it successfully, with the help of the what’s left of the shattered and vitally wealthy members of the Republican Party, as well as the support of the mostly Republican Party owned mass media. You see them all on television, either in the raft of heavily financed political ads coming at us all like unspoken but immutable and lengthy puffs of methane gas across all T.V. screens. You see and listen to them on the news, in Congress, the Senate, in the White House all wearing their hyper-expensive suits, coats, dresses, and other wear…all speaking about how the public needs to have wages lowered, interest rates increased and accept the fact that they must the public’s population (not them) must act with more restraint in purchasing.
In other words, other than blaming the public, almost all these gifted, paid-for, wealthy and very comfortable talking voices are saying, in a seething but still very loud whisper: “take the pain.” In the nineteen eighties it became very evident that all the protections that had grown to be passed over the years against allowing these businesses, companies, and operations to form monopolies were being shredded. Most of us who watched that happen didn’t really have a clue as to how devastating the results would be…and even now, those results will only grow ever more fiercely painful and stronger.
The hyper-wealthy members of the Supreme Court have responded to this ‘mandate,’ the way they see it, that has been given by these other blaming entities who surround them. Soon there will be laws that won’t allow anyone to protest or complain about what they do, as they will quietly be given huge ‘security’ protection, like the President, his family and that of the Vice President all have. Like former presidents and vice-presidents. These people will be unapproachable, like the offices of both houses of Congress now. The public can have no interaction with them. Yet, these same sanctimonious and lying supposed judges of high regard just put it to women directly, letting them know that they must be returned to a time before the current century, when they stayed home, shut up and certainly allowed their husbands and bosses total authority and control. This court decided that the U.S. does not need to fight the Global Warming that can be seen by everyone every day on television that is consuming the west and soon more of the entire USA. This court decided that Miranda Rights were to be tossed out so that people arrested for anything, or even stopped by the police will not be informed that they are being tricked to say things that may incriminate them. This court decided that assault weapons being sold to eighteen years old is somehow allowable in the constitution.
What can happen in light of all this garbage? We must live with it, but how? One thing is true, while we still have a vestige of the freedom left, and that’s to vote in mass. The November elections of 2022 will decide the fate of the entire country on into the future. The Republicans are all set to steal the election in this coming election, and their thieving is considered legal because they do it by tossing out black, Latin, disabled, and poor people. They do it with identification and property revelations in gaining the favor of the owners and the wealthy. They do it even more blatantly (or attempt it) by sending fake electors to Congress and then having to pay no price when their thieving and lying minions are revealed. The coming votes to be cast in November must be so overwhelming in November, like they barely were in 2020, that the Republican effort will be overcome and some measure of the kind of freedom that older Americans well recall living under, when a vote was a vote for real, racial factors were diminishing, and they did not have to fear the police at all times. Vote. Get your friends to vote. Take them to polls since in Wisconsin there will not be much more convenient drop boxes allowed (Wisconsin Republican Supreme Court decision).
