THE NEXT EVENT!

The strange linkage of it all, from the almost battlefields along the coastal Strait of Hormuz in Iran, to the beaten beaches of Normandy, the ‘Claw’ cage fight edifice, the January 6th attempted overthrow of the U.S. Government, and what is percolating from the remembering, regarding, and rephrasing of time and occurrence itself?  Secretary of Defense Hegseth spoke at the Normandy event days ago.  He equated the immigrants coming into the European countries with the many nations’ allied troops that began landing on those beaches on D-Day.  His portrayal disturbingly seemed to force a comparison of the Germans opposing the Allies and the European countries opposing the immigrants.  The stupidity and evil insinuation of his words was deliberate and intended to steal the honor of those who fought, died, or survived impossible odds, because the man himself and his leader, not only have no honor, but they have no idea what honor is.

Similarly, the building of an outrageously nasty and ‘filthy’ contraption on the front lawn of the White House, completely overtaking it, and lit with carnival lights and a sound system from hell spewing invectives. The association in time of the coming July 4th celebration of this country’s two hundred and fifty years of existence, and how hard fought it has been for so many heroes to gain and hold, and even died for is stolen valor as the ‘real’ tough and ‘mean’ and dangerous men go out on a stage or in a sand pit to make believe they were there to kill one another for the nation, except it’s really for the sunken, ragged and dying sick pleasure of one man.  These are all upside-down examples of how real history can be attended, and then a new story is overwritten as the public is caught unaware.  A good part of the public scratches their heads and wonders what is true, which is the whole point of the horridly damaging and shameful operation.

That brings us to the January 6th crowd and the complete reversal of how those real traitors, who would have been hanged by the neck for their actions a hundred years ago, are now declared to be the peaceful protestors, while the police who saved the Congress are described by this president as crooked and paid off.   Amazingly, many of the people who were saved (you will recall that the Speaker of the House at that time was threatened with death and the Vice President actually got to see a gibbet erected outside where he could be hanged) have supported paying each of these low-life scoundrels a million dollars apiece for what they did, after they’ve already been pardoned by the country’s puppet master.

The title of this article is about the effect of all this on a future where real performance may be needed, real defense, real care, real bravery.  The result of not honoring those who stood up for the country and its people is to embed a feeling in the public that there is no reward for heroism, bravery, or any of that.   There is no reward for doing the right thing.  None of the Capital Police who heroically stood and faced down the mob are getting a penny.  The next mob that rises, potentially in 2028, will be made up of millions of cretins, all hoping to get paid hugely for being low-life scum, and that will not work to the success or the continuance of life on the part of those attacked. Napoleon awarded those who would break into fortified castles when the gates were blown (of whom ninety percent were killed) a small gray ribbon.

The holders were called the ‘forlorn hope,’ as they went into the fray knowing they would likely die.  The meaning of living with that ribbon on one’s chest in Napoleon’s time was titanic, and therefore, there were always volunteers for membership in the forlorn hope units.  When the United States, once again, needs a forlorn hope outfit, or those to land on a fortified foreign shore, or even one at home, where will those men and women be found in light of what you’ve just read?
