AS JIMMY CAGNEY MIGHT HAVE SAID: “WELL, YOU DIRTY RAT!”

The rightful, royal, up-your-butt classic of our Wisconsin political times still resides in office as a Republican U.S. Senator. His name is Ron Johnson.  That he’s one of the ‘Q’ faction of the party is in little doubt, but let’s ignore that.  What he believes is not the province of this article.  What he says is also of little import.  What counts is what he has done and is doing now.  The good-looking and distinguished-seeming candidate for office ran alongside Governor Walker.  What was their first project together, instantly seized upon and then delivered with such deadly accuracy and power?  It was the high-speed rail line that was to connect Milwaukee with Madison, Chicago, and eventually Minneapolis.  You know about high-speed trains of that nature because all other civilized and not so civilized countries have them, but not Wisconsin.  Ron and Scott decided that the upkeep would be too high to maintain the trains and rails even though, and get this, the entire expense of building the trains, putting in the tracks and acquiring the land would all have been paid for by the U.S. Federal Government.  The company to build all this was organized and at work just outside of Milwaukee.  When Ron and Scott were done that company went down and sued Wisconsin for tens of millions of dollars and won.  Let’s move forward in time from those old lazy days of 2011.

How about Foxconn?  The biggest con job in Wisconsin’s history.  And there was Ron, bellied right there, his slim athletic physique and partially missing mind, playing at a world-class level with those oriental wizards.  That company has drained Wisconsin of hundreds of millions in money to buy now useless and partially built upon and developed properties all over Racine and Kenosha.  The places they were going to build are now half-done mishmashes of bricks, mortar, wood, and steel supports.  They were going to build the largest company in the world to manufacture large-screen monitors and television sets. Then, once they started collecting money and property they downsized the plan and decided to build a bunch of smaller structures to make smaller hand-held screens for iPad-like devices and cell phones.  Now, a few days ago, with almost all their stuff just laying around on fallow ground, they say they will build robotic coffee dispensers and there has been talk of electric cars.

What will be the new thing next that will never be manufactured?

Thanks, Ron, for more great representation.  Nobody talks about the rail thing, or the Foxconn thing, or how Scott and Ron went after the teachers too.  Made one big giant muck of that.  Scott Walker disappeared a couple of years ago after Wisconsin had had enough of him.  He went away to Washington D.C. (where else) to work at a think tank that does not think and has no tanks.  Meanwhile, Ron Johnson, trying to give the impression that he is smarter than a box of rocks, votes with his friends against the stimulus plan.  You see, Ron Johnson is worth $60 Million. (Google, first entry), yes, you are reading the numbers correctly.  He does not need the $1400 stimulus check.  To him, that’s less than a pittance, or something a regular person might consider having the value of a quarter.  Actually, one twenty-thousandth of a penny would mathematically compare more suitably (1400 times 420,000 comes close to 60 million).  The guy’s not a piker or a cheapskate, he’s merely selfish and probably has, at the core of his foundations, a solid belief that poor people and people who actually work for a living deserve their lot in life, and that’s as close to having nothing as can be.  Ron Johnson talks about not running again but then vacillates about that because, you see, the democrats are in power…getting the vaccines out and stimulus money to the people.  We can’t have that.

I hope our current ‘dirty rat’ runs so he can have the same ‘loser’ designation after his name (as his former governor mentor and presidential mentor, now own) on into the future.
