HEAT PUMP SCAM

There’s a heat pump scam being sold as environmentally better, cheaper, and effective. Those machines are none of those things. The entire concept, unless maybe you live above an active lava tube during the winter and have an underground connection heat pump, or are in Florida or Hawaii, does not function almost at all in the cold of winter, which includes most of the USA.  Under thirty degrees outside and the ‘pump’ is ninety percent ineffective.  So, if you have a heat pump then you’ve also got to have a back-up that’s either electric or gas.  If the temperature outside goes up above ninety, the ‘pump’ is again ninety percent ineffective. Talk about expensive, to have the back-up cost and the heat pump costs ($4000 to 7000 quoted by most heat pump installers. The most expensive part isn’t in the money, however.  Since heat pumps don’t really work when it’s really cold or hot, what are you really getting for your money? A lot of confused and misunderstood discomfort. This heat pump concept is being pushed on the public, like electric stoves over gas, by the electric energy industry. Electricity costs between five to ten times more than gas in most places, to supply whatever you are powering.

The entire energy industry wants more money than gas production sales and delivery provide. Gas is also basically free to the industry as it’s a bothersome by product part of oil production that’s generally burned off into the atmosphere (isn’t that environmentally friendly) so the electric producers have gone to using natural gas to power their electric plants. Then the electric plants can do the most important financial thing electric companies do in a capitalistic country…they jack the price up and lie about it. Heat pumps cannot pull the heat out of hot outside air above anything over ninety degrees, nor pull any heat out of any air below 30 degrees, because there isn’t any heat to be pulled out, not to be converted to cooling or warmth. Duh! But these unprincipled companies can and are selling the hell out of this whole concept, but the performance of the product has nothing at all to do with the environment, efficiency, expense, or any of that to the consumers. It’s all about the money to them.

The public is simply being deceived and this deception is supported by the mass media because the deceivers are paying them so much money.  The mass media does not give one damn about the health or welfare of the public it supposedly serves.  Serve, my aunt’s fanny!  How about the continuing sales of Medicare Plan C, which does not exist.  How about the Medicare Advantage plans that are so thieving of older people’s Medicare premiums while providing the worst of coverage.  How about the ridiculous little pills that are being sold every day on our television screens that are supposed to be a lemon, an orange or a tomato reduced to a pill the size of BB?  These advertisements play but there is no authority empowered to stop them, or to hold them accountable.  There was even a bill proffered in Congress to stop the sale of fraudulent Advantage plans, but it failed to get enough votes.  Go figure.

You can’t buy solar power to power your home electric needs for free.  That’s another nationally advertised sales scam.  By the time you’re done, and convinced you’ll actually get money back from electric companies because you are producing more electricity than you need and then feeding it back into the grid.  There are laws to allow you to claim money back from the electric companies, but good luck, as the energy companies just don’t pay money back to people who have windmills or tons of solar.  They don’t say they don’t, and in fact, say they do.  They just don’t do it, however.  Those supposedly free solar installations you’ve been hearing about.  You contract with them, and they come out and install the solar units for free, except you signed an agreement to pay a monthly amount to lease their equipment forever, and it’s not cheap.

Rural America is especially attacked by these crummy lying advertisements.  They get lousy WIFI and cell phone reception because they’ve been stolen from, quite legally, by the cell phone and WIFI providers of today.  Rural citizens get all of their information from the television, and the younger ones from the Internet.  They are being screwed by cell phone companies that turn off all the rural towers to save money on electricity.  They only have to provide “adequate” service, as determined by their federal contracts.  So, they give the citizenry in the countryside crap, and get away with it and make hundreds of millions doing so.  The rural population, which Geneva Lake communities are very much a part of, so far have done nothing to get some sort of fairness out of the system.  Please, people reading this article, read and reflect you can’t get a fruit or vegetable reality from a pill.  You can’t get better Medicare coverage from a company that’s going to shave off almost half the premiums you pay and lie to you, and you can’t get heat from ice or sub-zero outside air or cooling from outside air that’s burning hot.  If you read this article, then please know that the Geneva Shore Report has no ownership or interest in any of these deliberately crooked products and sales.
