OUR PLACE

Today is the day!
The 176th Walworth County Fair starts today, August 27th, through Labor Day, September 1st, as this issue is published. The theme this year is “As The Fair Turns”! The fairgrounds will be filled with an abundance of exhibits, exciting concerts, tractor and truck pulls, demolition derby, and so much more. The fair, as always, includes animal barns, carnival rides, games, and so much delicious fair food.

Daily Admission for the fair is $13 for adults, $10 for seniors, $8 for kids, and 5and under is free. If you are a regular at the fair and plan on going on most days, a season pass is $50 for adults and $20 for a junior season pass. The grandstand will have some great performances. Wednesday will be “Rice’s Pro Rodeo” with “Bella Cain”, Thursday is “Chris Tolman”, Friday is the popular Truck and Tractor Pulls, Saturday “Alabama” will take the stage, Sunday “Warrant” will perform, and Sunday is the traditional Demolition Derby!

For a more detailed schedule, event lineup, or to purchase tickets online, you can check out its website at walworthcountyfairgrounds.com. This is a traditional end-of-summer event for Walworth County residents and so many close to the area. The fair ends on Labor Day, which means the kids go back to school, making it a bittersweet week for families.
