Our Place
Coming at us, growing strong. Finally, there seems to be a greatly renewed interest in citizens running for office in Lake Geneva.
For the past few years, so many offices have had no real elective result at all, with only one person running and the public not be allowed a clear choice. As of the writing of this article, four candidates appear to be likely to run for mayor. Mr. Tom Hartz is very likely to run again (he’s the incumbent), Bob Kordus has taken out papers, as Charlene Klein, as well. Charlene ran against Tom Hartz and lost in the last election. Alderperson Cindy Flower may run, as well. She’s not up for re-election as an alderperson yet, so if she ran for mayor and won, then her alderperson’s position would come up for appointment.
Doug Skates will likely run for re-election in his district, although he will be opposed by, at the least, by Mary Jo Fessenmeier, a former alderperson and outspoken supporter of not developing the Hillmoor property. Alderperson Selena Proska is up for election in her district and it isn’t known whether she will run again, although it is known that she will definitely be opposed. We cannot reveal who will oppose her, however, if she runs, out of an agreed-upon confidential understanding.
No Parking Means No Parking

Apparently the city meant business when it came to no parking prior to the parade. Cars parked on Broad and Main after 3 pm Saturday were quickly towed out of the way to make room for the Christmas Parade.
So let me get this straight, some one is running for a elected public office but it is a secret. Got it.
