OUR PLACE

Come for the view and stay for the books.
That’s the Lake Geneva Public Library’s motto. Lake Geneva is lucky to have such a great library staff that is so passionate about books and everything the library offers. No need to mention that the library itself is uniquely located on a spectacular piece of property with a wonderful view of Geneva Lake.

When interviewed, Emily Kornack, Lake Geneva’s Library Director, shared all the great things the library has to offer and encouraged anyone who does not have a library card to get one. With a library card so much information, education, and fun are accessible. If you haven’t been to the library recently you may be surprised at all it offers its patrons. Anything from books, movies, cake pans, ukuleles, eBooks, audiobooks, and so much more are available. If there is something you need and they don’t have it they will also try to get it. Programming is a huge part of the library services. Programs for all ages are offered, from story time and dance parties for toddlers to college-level presentations on a variety of topics. The library has wonderful meeting rooms that can be rented.

You may have already seen pop-up library stands at different community events, as all are part of the growing library outreach program. The Lake Geneva Library is a hub of activity and is considered by staff as the community’s living room. Supporting the local library helps it to support the community and offer life-long learning and services to all. Lake Geneva Public Works Director Tom Earle gave an informative presentation at the December 4th Committee of the Whole meeting after the library presentation.
