The new development at the north entrance of Geneva Square is finally underway.
The plan was originally brought to the Lake Geneva Plan Commission in the summer of 2024. Construction has begun. Summer Moon is coming to Lake Geneva. The owners of the Geneva Square Business Center have a thriving shopping center and room to add more great businesses. The PIP for the multi-unit commercial building was discussed at the plan commission. The new building would go along the entrance off of Interchange North on the front side of the bank.

The development was originally planned as a two-unit with Summer Moon, a committed tenant in one of the units. Since planning began price increases have changed the plan, and it will be a three-unit. This will bring in more revenue for the developer justifying the price increases. The plan includes green space as well as a patio area. Greenery and well-thought landscaping are included in the plan. The existing pine trees in front of the bank will be relocated to the back side of Geneva Square along Sheridan Springs Road creating a much better view when driving on that roadway.

Summer Moon began its journey with a family’s love of coffee and a dream to craft the best oak-roasted coffee. Coffee lovers who experience coffee over a roaring fire find it exceptional. A local auction changed this family’s life path after winning a bid on coffee equipment in 2002. Summer Moon started in Texas and has grown to fifty locations nationwide. The Summer Moon beans are still roasted in Texas with the same wood-fired brick ovens. The menu is fabulous, featuring unique items prepared with exceptional products. This coffee shop is known for its oak-roasted coffee and signature sweet cream moon milk. There are currently a couple of locations in Crystal Lake IL and in Kenosha WI., very soon the Summer Moon will be even more accessible to this area as it is opening a new store in Lake Geneva at the Geneva Square Shopping Center.
