OUR PLACE

Dreams do come true.
Never Say Never Playland is now open! Last Thursday, city crews, who were very warm and welcoming, were busy with finishing touches and yard work. Then the official grand opening was held last Friday, and it truly was a grand event. A beautiful ribbon cutting took place with the mayor of Delavan participating, along with a strong support system from the City of Delavan. The turnout was great, and what a draw this will be for Delavan and Walworth County. The 13,000 square foot playground features activities and equipment that are accessible to children and adults of all physical abilities. Fully fenced and constructed with an engineered cushioned play surface, the playground features components designed for children of varying abilities to play together, including a wheelchair swing and an accessible merry-go-round. It truly is a space where no one is left out.

Week Six of Concerts in the Park, Thursday,
July 31st, from 6 p.m. through 8 p.m., is yet another wonderful Concert in Flat Iron Park. There is only one more after this week’s performance, so get your family and friends together, grab your lounge chairs or a blanket, and set up early in front of the Brunk Pavilion. Enjoy an evening of great music and a beautiful view of Geneva Lake before the concerts in the park season comes to an end. This week, EZFM will take the stage. EZFM is contemporary soft rock with hits from the ’70s and ’80s, and is sure to bring many back to their youth during a simpler time and place. This is expected to be a very entertaining and relaxing evening at the park.
