OUR PLACE

The Lake Geneva Jester was sighted on Main Street.
He was wandering rather aimlessly, attempting to figure out those businesses that carry the Geneva Shore Report so he could take the current issues and then dump them in trash containers.  The staff of the GSR sympathizes with such behavior, as last week’s article revealed the existence of this bow-legged character with a giant cowboy hat, not too distant from a very miniaturized version of some of the Japanese Rodan, Godzilla, or maybe Mothra movie monsters.

The Jester isn’t dangerous though, as violence isn’t his intent. It’s attention and a deep-seated need to entertain.  The GSR sympathizes with these emotive sentiments because it happens to share them.  If some people believe the GSR made up this unfortunate little creature well, just stop to consider that Superman, Batman, the Flash, and more, were all comic book creations of fiction but from those came a whole raft of people running around dressing up like the characters and just waiting to do something heroic, but instead, as there are not many heroic things to be done, simply settling for the attention and entertainment effect.

Some communities have Yeti, Big Foot, and other made-up creatures in and around their midst.  Lake Geneva has the Jester and everyone living in and around Geneva Lake is very pleased to have him.

Say hello, or Salaam, if you see him walking about.
