OUR PLACE
Happy Turkey Day!
Thanksgiving is on Thursday, November 24th, and wondrously runs for three more holiday days. Family and friends are getting ready to gather for the feast. Not everyone has someone to share the holiday with or the means to prepare a Thanksgiving meal. No one should be alone or hungry on Thanksgiving.
But there’s the Walworth County Thanksgiving Dinner. This wonderful community tradition has been around for almost two decades, and the tradition continues this year. All are welcome for a traditional Thanksgiving meal, including turkey, sides, and pie, and there’s absolutely no charge.
The meal will be served on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24th, at The Water’s Edge on Delevan Lake between 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. For more information call 262-749-4621. A lot of work goes into making this complimentary meal possible and that work is all done by volunteers. This is what Thanksgiving is all about and the efforts and giving of all those involved should not go unnoticed. Happy Thanksgiving.
Let It Glow is coming back to the Walworth County Fairgrounds.
This whimsical lightshow features local nonprofits, families, and businesses showing off their displays along with a visit from the leading man of the season, Santa Claus himself. Businesses, families, and nonprofits are invited to decorate a tree or build a Glow Display at Let It Glow! This is their chance to highlight who they are and what they do in our community during this three-day drive-thru event Dec 2nd 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Dec 3rd 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Dec 4th 5p.m. 8 p.m.
