The Milwaukee Bucks.
The team was recognized by the NBA last week as leaders in inclusion and for having an elite game experience. At the league’s sales and marketing meetings, the Bucks received the 2025 NBA Inclusion Leadership Award and the 2025 Game Experience Satisfaction Award. The honor recognizes exceptional work done between October 2023 and October 2024 and is selected by a committee of league and team executives. The Bucks also received the 2025 Game Experience Satisfaction Award, which is given to the top three teams with the highest percentage in overall game experience satisfaction as determined by Post-Game Attendee Research Surveys through Jan. 10.
The Bucks’ annual System Impacted Rotational Program, a first-of-its-kind program in the NBA, provides valuable work experience to 10-12 incarcerated individuals from the Milwaukee County Community Reintegration Center through the Huber Work Release program. Individuals in the program receive hands-on training and practice working in guest experience, retail, housekeeping and conversion roles to support various events at Fiserv Forum. Since the program began in 2021, eight participants have received full-time positions with the Bucks upon completing the course. In partnership with Marquette University, the Bucks created the Marquette Fellowship Program in 2022 to provide students from diverse backgrounds with unique learning experiences and an introduction to careers in sports and entertainment. Fellows in the program are given opportunities to network with industry professionals and develop their leadership skills as they contribute to various departments within the Bucks organization and participate in employee resource groups.
Since the program’s inception, all fellows have extended summer internships with the Bucks. The team also offers unique work experience opportunities to individuals who are visually impaired as part of a partnership with Beyond Vision. The Bucks worked with Beyond Vision to create an innovative program for blind or visually impaired people to assist the team’s guest experience department. The individuals serve in a call center, located in Milwaukee, and provide game day support for fans over the phone.
The Milwaukee Brewers.
In the first weekend of the 2025 regular season, the Milwaukee Brewers were on the wrong end of a historic offensive explosion from the New York Yankees. It was the worst possible scenario to start the season. The Brewers turned the tables in a big way this week. Since starting 0-4, Milwaukee is on a 7-1 tear. Between their series finale against the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday and the first two games of their series with the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Brewers have racked up 32 runs. A whopping 17 of those runs came on Wednesday night, when catcher William Contreras, left fielder Jackson Chourio, and designated hitter Christian Yelich each slugged home runs. Milwaukee left just two men on base during the game, batting 8-for-14 with runners in scoring position. José Quintana threw seven scoreless innings in his Brewers debut, leading Milwaukee to a 7-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night, April 11, 2025.
The veteran left-hander gave up just four hits and faced the minimum through the first six innings, coaxing double-play grounders in the first two innings and picking off Jake McCarthy at first in the third. Quintana (1-0) signed with Milwaukee in early March, putting him behind schedule in spring training. The 36-year-old started the season in the minors to continue his preparation and looked sharp in his first big league outing of the year. For better or worse, the Brewers’ organizational personality now sits in a class with teams like the Guardians and Rays, perennial contenders with front offices that overcome budgetary limitations. It’s part of the reality for the players that remain. After guiding the Brewers through the challenges they faced during the 2024 season, senior vice president and general manager Matt Arnold was selected as the sport’s Executive of the Year by The Sporting News, Baseball America, and MLB
