The Badger High School football team is undefeated.
The team is on a roll and with one more win this Friday night will be playing for the state championship title. The team had a scare on the field last week during the team’s playoff game. Head coach Matt Hensler was given medical attention on the sideline for shortness of breath and then taken by ambulance for further examination and precaution. Assistant coach Koronkiewicz took the lead and reassured the players. Coach Hensler sets the team up for success and the undefeated season proves it. The players shared their admiration and love for their coach and are praying for him. This Friday the team is going to Oconomowoc for the final playoff game. They will be playing Sun Prairie East and if they can pull off another win it’s off to the championship game. Everyone is rooting for the Badgers and anyone who knows Coach Matt Hensler is praying for a full and quick recovery.
The Green Bay Packers won with a running exhibition by Aaron Jones.
Aaron was almost on the cutting block before the game with the Rams, and the Packers kicker might be on that same block if he continues to miss anymore. Jones was superb in his performance. The Packers won it by a score of 21 to three, but it was once again a score mostly added to in the second half. Why does the team seem to sleep during the first half of all of its games this year? The team is right on the cusp of being denied any ability to be in the playoffs when the end close regulation play.
The Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo agreed to 3-year, $186 million contract extension.
Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t leaving Milwaukee any time soon. Antetokounmpo had signed a five-year, $228.2 million supermax contract in 2020, which would have kept him in Milwaukee at least through the 2024-25 season. His new deal, which includes a player option at the end, should keep Antetokounmpo with the Bucks through the 2027-28 campaign. Antetokounmpo had said earlier this summer that, while he knew he was eligible for such a deal, he wasn’t willing to sign it unless everyone was on the same page. Milwaukee traded for Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard in a three-team deal with the Phoenix Suns last month, giving first-year head coach Adrian Griffin two superstars to work with this season. That immediately made Milwaukee the betting favorite to win the NBA Finals come June.
