Four out of the five starters for the Milwaukee Bucks are already locked in for the coming season. Newcomer Damian Lillard will take over for Jrue Holiday as the starting point guard, while Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Brook Lopez will resume their roles in the front court. The big question is who will start as shooting guard for the Bucks? Three players are currently in a tight battle to win a starting spot for new head coach Adrian Griffin. They are veteran sharpshooter Pat Connaughton, free agency recruit Malik Beasley, and incoming second-year stud MarJon Beauchamp. Connaughton, who started 33 games for Milwaukee last season, has a legitimate path to get the starting shooting guard spot this coming season. It appears that head coach Adrian Griffin already has a good idea as to which player will be taking on the role of the fifth starter this coming season. Speaking after Sunday’s preseason win against the Chicago Bulls, Griffin spoke highly of Beasley’s role not only in the contest but also, moving forward. Griffin said that he thought Beasley was “playing hard” on the defensive end against Chicago and that this could be the factor that makes him win the race for the starting small forward role.
The Milwaukee Brewers, meanwhile, prove once again that they have an amazing and proven ability to lose clutch post-season games.
‘Two and out.’ What a shame following such a great season. Maybe next year. The stadium is going to cost a fortune, in order to keep the team in Milwaukee. Southern Wisconsin loves its Brewers, however, so everyone is likely to hunker down to wait, and also pay up.
