The Milwaukee Brewers
Remain at the top of the National League Central, but they are struggling a little but since going on their record-setting 14-game winning streak but have performed well for much of the season. Lately, they have been without some key pieces, including outfielder Jackson Chourio. He was on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring. The Brewers managed well in his absence, but they need him back in the mix to continue their second-half surge. Chourio finished third in NL Rookie of the Year voting last season.

He came into Saturday’s game batting .276 with 17 homers, 67 RBIs, and 18 steals for Milwaukee, owners of the best record in the majors at 84-52. Chourio has been reinstated from the IL. Chourio was activated off the 10-day IL before Saturday’s game at Toronto. He hammered a 94 mph fastball on the first pitch he saw from Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman, driving it to deep center in the first inning. Chourio brings power from the right side of the plate, as well as elite speed and defense. His presence should give the Brewers a major boost as the rest of the 2025 season plays out. Things are looking good for the Brewers at the moment. They have a crucial schedule in September that will determine if they are ultimately the ones to come out on top in the NL Central.

The Milwaukee Bucks
Have been trying desperately to pair the right star player with Giannis Antetokounmpo. Unfortunately, they haven’t been able to find the right one. Damian Lillard is no longer on the team after he tore his Achilles tendon in the playoffs against the Pacers. Kyle Kuzma has not stepped up since he was brought in at the trade deadline. Antetokounmpo will now be paired with Myles Turner next season. He is the best scorer, rebounder, and is now the best creator for Milwaukee. The biggest problem for the Bucks is that they haven’t found a point guard who can help them create more shots for everyone on the court. That duty will once again fall on Antetokounmpo. If the Bucks want to have a shot of coming out of the East, they need Antetokounmpo to play like an MVP. He is going to have a large burden on his shoulders. That leaves him to carry the whole team and carry the burden.

How Turner fits alongside him is going to be the key to the Bucks’ season. He is going to have to hit open 3’s, contested 2’s, and stretch the floor around him, especially when Antetokounmpo rests. This past season, Antetokounmpo averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game. He shot 60.1 percent from the field and 22.2 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

Green Bay Packers.
Micah Parsons is now a member of the Green Bay Packers! Parsons is the most sought-after defender in the NFL right now. He plays a premium position, is just entering his prime, boasts incredible versatility in the front 7, and is a truly field-tilting pass rusher. Parsons spoke to reporters on Friday in an introductory press conference, saying that he felt physically good and that he was ready to get out there right away. As part of the trade, Green Bay signed Parsons, the 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, a three-time All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowler, to a reported four-year, $188 million deal with $136 million guaranteed. That number makes him the richest non-quarterback in NFL history. In return, Dallas got two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark in the trade. He’ll see his old team and play in his old home just four weeks into the 2025 season. The Packers and Cowboys square off on “Sunday Night Football” on Sept. 28.
