Topsy Turvy is expanding.
The Precise Implementation Plan for the Topsy Turvy Brewery expansion of the tap room, the addition of food service, was approved at last week’s city council meeting. The old church on the corner of Geneva and Broad Street is the home of the wonderful, thriving Topsy Turvy Brewery. The building was also home to the Lake Geneva Cooking School, which has recently been relocated. With the cooking school no longer there, the space it once occupied is open, and the brewery jumped at the opportunity to expand.

The brewery is a popular spot, especially on the weekends. The number of people, including families, coming and going, is quite substantial, making the need to expand a no-brainer. The current space is fabulous and full of excitement, with so many in vacation mode and kids running around enjoying the mood. The space just across the hall from it will be incorporated into a quieter spot for patrons to enjoy, with a wall and door added to make this possible. The space will include additional seating and will have a supper club or lounge feel. A new bar will be added and some retail, with the complete layout a work in progress. The current plan is to rent the kitchen to Flat Iron Tap or some other established restaurant to offer a more substantial food option.
