The Spring Wine Walk is coming up fast.
Downtown Lake Geneva, also known as the Lake Geneva Business Improvement District, is the host of this wonderful event. Sunday, May 18th, is the day. From noon until 4 p.m., you can spend a lovely time strolling through the streets of Lake Geneva, sipping wine samples along the way. While visiting the fabulous downtown shops and doing a little shopping, you can sample different wines to enhance the day. The Spring Wine Walk is very popular, and so much so that a fall wine walk was added to the calendar. The wine walks sell out fast, and as of late last week, the tickets are over half sold out. Make sure to get your tickets now before it’s too late.

Town of Delavan is expanding fire protection to Walworth and Fontana after failed referendums.
The Town of Delavan Fire Department is a volunteer, on-call group of residents. The Town of Delavan board approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Village of Fontana and the Town of Walworth that will expand the service area of the town’s fire and EMS service. According to the agreement, the Town of Walworth will pay the Town of Delavan $35,000 up front for the town to take over the fire and rescue services in an area the Town of Walworth needs help with. If it is determined by the Town of Delavan at the end of the year that the number of calls in that area cost the town more than $35,000 to respond to, the Town of Walworth will make up the difference. The Town of Delavan Fire Department will provide full fire and EMS coverage to a portion of the Town of Walworth and an additional provider of fire services to an additional portion of the Town of Walworth, along with the Village of Fontana Fire Department. The Town of Delavan has two stations located on Town Hall Road and County O.
