Who in the hell is manning the helm of the City of Lake Geneva ship of state?
Nobody or the wrong somebody? Todd Krause is the mayor, but the city has a ‘weak mayor’ system of government. Todd only gets to oversee the council and make tie-breaking votes, of which there are almost none. Can Todd decide that maybe the city does not need a new tin shed to store winter salt in when it can get the salt on demand from the county, the state, or even out of state?
Three hundred and some thousand dollars for a new salt storage shed. What’s the profit on that project, and how are these projects slipping into the budget for approval so quietly? Because there’s no channel 25 and no streaming of meetings, that’s why, and the city administrator is doing what the last one did, and that’s damn nearly nothing.
