SURPRISING STUFF

Hooray for the coming full-time firefighters!
Thursday, February 1st, marked a historical day for the Town of Linn. Beginning at 7 a.m. the fire department for the Town of Linn is being staffed 24/7. This was made possible through a continued relationship and shared services agreement between the Town of Linn and the City of Lake Geneva Fire Department. Coincidentally, the first request for service was a structure fire. This call immediately demonstrated the benefit of a staffed firehouse and having personnel immediately able to respond.

This also marked a historic day for the City of Lake Geneva Fire Department as they congratulated 12 of our staff on their appointment to full-time status. With these appointments, it brings the daily on-duty in the city up to 5 per day and 3 per day in the Town of Linn through our Shared Services agreement.  Congratulations to the Town of Linn Board and Jim Weiss, its chairman, along with far-seeing leadership in the Lake Fire Department for making this all happen for all of us.
