SURPRISING STUFF

Wisconsin’s second team in the snow sculpting competition is called the Snow Cronies.
Their sculpture is called Big Stream Weaver, which is a hungry bear cub that has caught a fish that is more than what he needs or can handle. His eyes are bigger than his stomach. Greg Moerner (Captain): Greg has been competing in snow sculpting since 2000, having been introduced in the 1980s at the Milwaukee County Zoo, where his brother was sculpting. He let Greg carve, and he was hooked. When he is not sculpting, he enjoys laser engraving, cutting wood signs, and restoring vintage AMC cars.

Dan Ingebrigtson: Dan began competitive snow sculpting in the 1990’s at the competition in the Wisconsin Dells. He has competed in national and international competitions for over 3 decades and competes in ice carving. He is a free-lance sculptor who enjoys working with clay, wood, and bronze sculpting. Jim Malkowski: Jim has been competing since the 1990’s when he participated in the Wisconsin Flak Out Snow Sculpting competition in the Wisconsin Dells. He has competed at the Breckenridge International competition nine times, winning 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Artist Choice. When he is not sculpting snow, he also expresses his creativity through ornamental concrete work.

This year’s Balloon Adventure theme has been announced.
This year, we’re going Buggin’ Out, inspiring bug and insect balloon displays. This is an imaginative adventure where the tiniest creatures take center stage. From whimsical ladybugs to larger-than-life butterflies, guests will step into a world where bugs rule, and every twist and turn is bursting with balloon artistry, interactive fun, and colorful surprises. There will also be photo ops, scavenger hunts, theme nights, and more.

The event will be held at Pier 290 in the boat showroom from March 19th to 29th and benefiting Camp Timber-lee. When the lights go low, the party lights up! The Afterglow Rave is a family-friendly dance experience featuring a DJ, glowing elements, balloon magic, and high-energy fun as you dance your way through the Buggin’ Out! world. This fun dance party will be held on Friday, March 20th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Both events are family-friendly. Kick off your evening at the Balloon Adventure before sipping your way through Lake Geneva. Guests receive a signature Happy Ending cocktail, a Pub Crawl badge, and shuttle transportation to participating bars offering exclusive Balloon Adventure drinks and then return safely to PIER 290. This adult theme night is Saturday, March 21st. Cozy up for a magical, bug-themed movie night designed for families. Explore the Balloon Adventure before settling in under the canopy for a favorite film, complete with comfy vibes, movie-night treats, and unforgettable balloon-filled ambiance. The movie is on Friday, March 27th, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Be part of the grand finale! This hands-on experience invites guests ages 10+ (with a paying adult) to explore the Balloon Adventure before helping pop select balloons in a guided, high-energy finale that brings the build to an exciting close. The grand finale is Sunday, March 29th, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. All events are ticketed event.
