The cold weather is hitting hard as spring events are being planned.
The 14th Annual Super Hero Shuffle 5k/10k Run and Walk is scheduled and ready for your registration. This very fun, family-friendly, charitable race does not happen until May 16, 2026, but early registration provides a discount and helps keep it one of the most organized races. The event is held at Big Foot State Park on Saturday, May 16th, at 10 a.m. Early registration can be done online at runsignup.com.
The prices increase after April 24th so plan and secure your spot in either the 10k, 5k, or 1-mile race. The location for this race is spectacular and allows the whole family to participate. Yes, strollers are welcome. This fun-filled family event will include raffles, food, music, kids’ activities, and so much more. Runners and walkers are welcome and encouraged to dress up in their favorite superhero gear. Be a hero and help families affected by childhood cancer. The race proceeds benefit the Kisses from Friends Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
The second Alpine Valley concert was announced for 2026.
One of America’s favorite Idol judges and Country music mega star just announced he’s making a tour stop this September in Wisconsin. Country superstar Luke Bryan is bringing his highly anticipated “Word On The Street” Tour to Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin, on September 26.
This announcement came as the new season of American Idol had started. He is known for his high-energy shows and chart-topping hits, along with a highly entertaining show. The Alpine Valley tour stop with Luke Bryan will feature special guests Drew Baldridge, Lauren Watkins, and Raelynn. Pollstar recently ranked him in the Top 20 Artists of the Millennium, one of only two country artists to earn that distinction after selling more than 20 million concert tickets.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, January 30, at 10 am via LiveNation.com. VIP presales will begin Tuesday, January 27, including the popular “Word On The Street” VIP Experience, which offers premium seating or pit access, a dedicated venue entrance, and an invitation to Luke’s Lounge before the show.
