The Driehaus Family Plaza at the Riviera is a popular gathering space and a great place to enjoy the beauty of Lake Geneva.
The Riviera building is an iconic piece of history and full of life and fun all summer long. The fountain in the center of the plaza is a favorite spot for photos and loitering. So many who hang out here spend time reading the personalized bricks. If you ever wondered how they got there, who’s behind it, and how you can get one, it’s all because of The Lake Geneva Beautification Committee. The committee is dedicated to preserving and enhancing Lake Geneva. Their signature brick program is one of the ways they are able to do this and let people be a permanent part of it.

For more information and to order a brick go to www.lakegenevabeautification.com. The bricks are available every spring and fall and help fund the beautification of Lake Geneva. The location of the bricks has expanded to more than the Riviera including the area around the Three Graces Statue (which will hopefully be replicated sometime in the near future, and the pavilion in Flat Iron Park. The price of the bricks varies depending on the size and number of words. The signature brick program is a great way to show your love for Lake Geneva.

Thank you to the City of Lake Geneva Police Department for keeping this community safe.
Nationwide we’ve seen an increase in acts of violence at big events, schools, and public gatherings. The police department realizes that no community is isolated, and these violent acts could happen anywhere. Mass shootings have escalated to a record pace in the US, with at least 162 already reported in 2023. The devastating frequency means more and more people are directly affected, and the general public is regularly exposed to indirect impacts. Thankfully, the Lake Geneva Police Department strives to offer the highest level of protection to everyone in the community whether it be residents or visitors. They are always thinking ahead and of ways to prevent any violent acts from happening in our community.

At the Memorial Day Parade Sgt. Derrick and Officer Hansen were equipped with patrol rifles as they walk foot patrol.  They knew there was no threat to our community or to the Memorial Day activities but took precautionary measures to keep everyone safe. The City of Lake Geneva Police Department will always stay ahead of national trends and always protect our citizens to the best of our ability.  If you see them, hello and remember they are here to protect us, not scare us.
