Buona Beef and the Rainbow Cone is coming to Lake Geneva.
This is a very popular restaurant in the Chicago area and is soon to become a popular spot here. Buona Beef is a sit-down fast food and drive-thru restaurant similar to how Culvers runs. The process from the purchase of the property, through getting all the approvals from the city, is finally complete and the company is finally working on the renovation stage. The property located at 393 Edwards Boulevard (the old Red Geranium) is getting a whole new look as the renovation will be a complete one. The Buona Beef Company is known for its delicious Italian beef sandwiches but serves so much more. You can get anything from burgers and hotdogs to pizza and pasta.
The Rainbow Cone Ice Cream Shop that’s part of it will feature ice cream cones, shakes, sundaes, donuts, and ice cream cakes. These two side-by-side operations have been a delicious partnership. The presentation for planning the renovation took place last winter and almost wasn’t approved. City officials were concerned with that area of Edwards Boulevard and what increased traffic would look like. The Buona Beef Company took those concerns seriously and a compromise that will (hopefully) meet safety and traffic goals was set.
